1組目 タイ出身の女性に聞いてみた!

Where are you from?

I’m from Thailand

How long have you been in Australia now?

I’ve been in Australia for five years

Quite a long time

I feel like it’s great to get out of our own country And live in another country

With a lots of other cultures and stuff like that

Has it been influencing you in a good way to live in another country and society?

Yes, influencing in a good way

Why do you think so?

Because it lets me see like a lot of things

So we can compare like

Here it’s like this and my country is like this

So we can see the world

Like the world is not in the one part

Year true

You can see things that you cannot see if you only live in Thailand

But because you live here with diversity

YOu can see many new things and you can compare

Is that what you mean?

Yeah

So it’s good to live in other countries but also

It can be hard sometimes, right?

I wanna ask you What was the hardest moment or hardest thing you had

SInce you started living in Australia?

No family

You miss your family

Yeah of course

I came here alone

So everything you need to be like Just only go forward but not backwards

So it was very hard for me

It’s not like at home

Last question and the main question of this interview

I make contents like this

About different cultures and different people

Fortunately, I get lots of viewers

Every second, every minutes to my videos

And I get lots of comments like this from people

Especially who are planning to come overseas

They sak me

Have you ever experienced any racial discrimination?”

Because we are Asian living in another society

Have you ever experienced something like this?

Yeah I have

Can I ask what happened to you?

It’s like we were just walking around the city and

I saw some people say like They talk bad like

“***** Asian” yeah

I just ingored

Just ignored and walked away

Do you think it’s happening quite often to you or to your friends?

Not often but just sometimes

Do you care about this?

Because some people who watch my videos They give me a comment

They warry about it

They wanna come overseas but they worry about it

Do you care?

I think I don’t care

Problem is not ours, its theirs

So why do we need to care?

If you wanna talk or bully

It’s you, not me

Fix themselves

I like your personality but it’s very true though

Thank you for your strong words

Khob khun krab

2組目 ジンバブエ出身の男性に聞いてみた!

Where are you from?

Zim and them Australia

How long have you been in Australia now?

Probably like fourteen years

I believe that it’s good to get out of your own country and

Come to live in another society

Which made me wiser

And I’m more like a flexible person because

I get lots if cultures and background when I’m working and when I live here

Do you feel that it’s been

Influencing you in a good way to live in another society?

I think that honestly the best thing to do in your life is To experience different things

And when you do that you can then judge and compare

You can see the world in a different manner If you know what I mean so it’s

So you can see the world from this stand point This stand point

ANd when you are able to do that

You get such a bigger world view on things

That is definitely true

So with such a bigger perspective on different things

You’ve got more of a deal of understanding if other people

So I think it’s the best thing to do to be honest

That is hundred percent correct I feel that too

However it can be a little bit difficult Little bit hard to live in another country Another society as well

Have you had any like difficult moments or Difficult things since you started living in Australia?

Life without challenges What’s that?

Imagine playing a game, right

And you’ve played it like a thousand times

You know every little detail of what’s gonna happen

So all the challenges that comes to your way You already know they are coming

Is that a fun game?

No

You see what I’m saying?

I make contents like this

I get a lot of comments from people especially

Who are planing to go overseas or to live overseas

“Have you ever experienced any racial discrimination?”

Lots of people are worried about this

You are from another country

Have you ever experienced something like this in Australia?

It’s a good question

What’s the cause if hates?

Maybe different cultures

Simply countries, colors of skin

So many thing Religions

What takes a person to hate something

If you really think about that like

What takes a person to hate? What makes a person hate something?

Lack of confidence

Maybe some unhappiness happening to their life

There is your answer

So which means that you’d say You don’t have to worry about it?

I’m just saying that there is your answer

Like I said lots of people who are worried about this and

When that happened to them

What’s your advice is gonna be?

If you are Asian and someone hates you because you are Asian

There’s eight billion people in the world

You don’t have to worry about just the specific person

You got other people love you already so it’s like

Thank you very much

3組目 中国出身の女性に聞いてみた!

Where are you from?

I came from China

Do you think it has been

Influencing you in a good way to live in Australia?

Yeah, I think it’s

Multiple cultures affect me a lot

They got me like more source

And more experience with different people from different countries

That is the experience you cannot find in your own country

However sometimes it can be hard as well

Yeah I think so

Coz when I first came to Australia I had no friend here

So I sometimes felt lonely

But after I lives here like two years or Maybe a few months

I could get some friends

You can get new friends and a new circle and enjoy it

Gradually you can build an environment around you which suits you, which you can like

It takes time but when you start working and When you go to school

You get lots of friends and stuff yeah

Main question and the last question of this interview

This can be a little bit tricky but I can hope you can help me out

I get lots of comments like this

“Hey Tarosac” “Because you’ve lived in Australia for a long time”

“Have you ever experienced racial discrimanation?”

Have you ever experienced something like that?

I haven’t been there but one of my friends said During the COVID-19 time

Just one like a local in Australia

Came to meet my friend

He said dirty words of “F*** off”

She just waked by the local person and

The man just said some rude words to her That’s pretty..

If that happend to you, what would you do?

I think I just ignore them

Coz if you talk to them you may have more argue or

Maybe you’ll like fight

I think ignoring them is the best way

Thank you very much

4組目 アデレード出身の男性に聞いてみた!

Where are you from?

I’m from Adelaide Australia

So you are Australian?

Yeah

Would you mind my asking What is your background?

So my mum came here from SIngapore

Your dad?

My dad is from South Australia

So your dad is Australian but

You mum has Asian background

She is from Singapore

Do you feel that there is some

Positive thing that you get

Because you have Asian background and live in this society?

Yeah absolutely

It lets me kind of get a wider perspective On all the things that Australia has to offer

Coz there’s a lot here different cultures

And it’s a lot easier to connect with different things in Australia

If you already have some cultural background that isn’t just one so

I know a lot of my relatives come here from Singapore

And they get here and it’s obviously very new

But there is always other people that have similar experiences and

It’s easier to find people to help and

To talk to

What was the hardest thing or the hardest moment you had

Because you had the Asian background if you have something

A lot of the time growing up here with Asian background You wouldn’t really always fit in the school

Especially where I’m from there’s a lot of like Born and raised like fully Australian people here

It can be tough because

There’s some prejudice

Not so much form other people but self-imposed to yourself

And you just gotta kind of accept your own self in your own culture

It becomes a lot easier when you become your own person

Instead of trying to be what other people want you to be

This is important

I get lots of comments like this

“Have you ever had any racial discrimanation”

“Since you live in Australia?”

Have you ever had something like that?

No really Nothing major

Occasionally there’s someone you know drunk out in public making remarks but

I’ve never had anyone physically or verbally abused me

In a significant way because of my culture

Since I’m from a very countryside in Japan

There’s not much diversity

They are all Japanese people pretty much That’s why we don’t really

I don’t remember that we got the education about discriminations and stuff when we were kids

But here there’s diversity right?

Do you remember you learnt something about discriminations and stuff in school?

Like you can’t do this

Yeah it’s a really big thing especially recently

Because we’ve been doing a lot of stuff with younger generation about regarding indigenous cultures

As time goes on people are becoming much less prejudice towards everybody

School system’s doing an okay job at the moment

They are getting better and better

But it is still something that occasionally the problem with some

Generally order people and also

Actually quite often like angry teenagers

Thank you for they great educational stories

Enjoy Sydney

Yeah I will do
