3組目 イラン出身の女性に聞いてみた!

Where are you ladies from?

From Iran we are Persian

We are Persian and come from Iran

From Iran

This is very rare opportunity for me

To be able to interview people from Iran

I’ve interviewed heaps of South Americans

Europians and Aussies

But not Iranian people

So, thank you very much for your cooperation

What are you doing here in Australia?

Do you live here?

Yeah, we are currently living here

Oh, you live here?

We just immigrated to Australia

It’s about six month

Six months ago

What do you do now in Australia?

Do you work or do you study?

Yeah, definitely we need to work everywhere

Yeah, everyone needs to work

What do you do?

I work in a luxury brand

Luxury brand

Yeah, as a sales assistant

Okay, that’s why you look fancy

Yeah, very fancy

What do you do?

I need to work, but I can’t

So, I have to study

I need to validate my degree

A dentistry degree

So, I’m studying now

Okay you look already very smart

But you even try to be smarter

Oki doki

Okay, so today in this video

I interview people about a country where they possibly want to immigrate

This is one of the hot topics in Japan

So let me ask you some questions about it

But my first question is going to be about

Your country, Iran

So, you were born and raised in Iran, right?

Yeah

What is the best thing about Iran?

What is the thing that Iran has

And the other countries don’t?

I would say that there are a lot of things that can be mentioned

Too many things

Too many things

But definitely Iranian cuisine

Iranian cuisine?

Yeah

What is the positive thing about Iran?

I think the best thing about Iran in families

Families?

Because families are very supportive

You can have support from your families all the time

It’s not just about under 18, it’s for all ages

I kind of knew that

Because I traveled so many times

Sometimes I don’t know, I can’t assume it’s Iranian people

But the Middle Eastern people are really close to their family

And at the airport

Maybe their son or family members moving overseas

The whole family in the airport and crying

So, the bond between families is really strong

Really strong

That’s really beautiful

Okay then any country has a negative part as well Negative side

What do you think is a negative part of Iran?

Something need to be improved

Actually, many things

But maybe for example

Because I came from Tehran, which is capital of Iran

But actually, it’s overpopulation

Overpopulation?

And maybe weather quality

Weather quality?

Oh, it’s not good?

No, it’s not good in Tehran

What do you mean? Dried or too much rain?

No, it’s polluted, actually

Polluted?

Really? The air is dirty

Yeah, really dirty

Especially in winter

So, I think this is one of the things that can be changed in the future

Maybe the government should

Change the capital from Tehran to another place

Okay, you think about it

Yeah

What about you?

The most important I think the economic problems

Economic situation is too bad in Iran

But you guys look rich

The economic situation is so bad

There are inflation and because of sanction

And the job opportunities is not good for everyone

And you can’t earn a lot of money

Not many opportunities there

Actually, that’s why many people are trying to immigrate

To other countries to have a better life

Because the cost of living in Iran

Especially in Tehran, is so high

Rather than staying in Iran

Many Iranian people are thinking and willing to move to another country, is that correct?

Yeah, many people

Many people to look for a better life

Especially these days

Because of the media and social media

You can see everything, the life outside

Exactly

This could be my stereotype

But most of the populations are Muslim, right? In your country, is it?

Yes

I would say 100% Because it’s mandatory

Is it?

No choice?

No choice

And then in that case

I think men has so much power and a woman not really

That’s what we learned, I think

Is that correct?

And you don’t complain because it’s your part of culture and it’s normal?

No, it’s not normal at all

And that’s why many women, I mean, in my country

They are struggling to have a freedom

So that could be one reason that people want to move out

Yeah

To have freedom

So, the last question

You said many people willing to move to another country, right?

If you got into a situation where you have to migrate

To another country today…

From here

Yeah, from here

From here and from Iran Okay

Because I know Australia is amazing country

Because Australia is amazing country

Oh my God, that’s my dream

Okay, then let me ask you about Australia

Why did you come to Australia?

What attracted you?

Many things, actually

Nature, the population

Not too many

Not too many

And also, job opportunities

Yeah you can improve your skills

So many Iranian people also want to come to Australia as well

Yeah, Australia and Canada

Australia and Canada Like Japanese people

Most popular destination for Iranian

How can I say thank you in your country in your language?

Motocyakkeran

Motocyakkeran

4組目 ソウル出身の男性に聞いてみた!

Where are you from?

From Korea Seoul

Oh, from Seoul Okay

What do you do in Australia?

Well, I recently graduated from university

And I’m currently working full time at a finance company

Wait a minutes, you sound like an Aussie

Are you born and raised here?

No, I came here when I was very young

About year three

Year three? Which is when you were..?

Like ten years old nine, or ten years old

That’s why you got Aussie Aussie

Is it really strong?

Not too strong I can understand

But definitely Aussie accent

So in this video

I’m interviewing people about country where they possibly want to migrate to

Because it’s one of the hot topics that people talk about in Japan

But first of all, about your country

What do you like about your country?

What’s the best thing about Korea?

To be honest

What I realized living here is convenience

All the shops are open so lat in Korea

We get delivery food pretty much anywhere

It’s so much convenient living there

So,I think that’s one of the big things I miss

Yeah the restaurants and everything open till late

And like, delivery prices are so expensive

Like, you order subway and it’s like $20

It’s pretty crazy

Delivery takes too long as well

I know

Yeah, that’s true

And everything’s closed at 9:00 p.m.

They don’t want to work, mate

On the other hand

What do you not like about Korea?

I don’t know, just the whole work culture

Yeah what do you mean?

It’s a little bit more strict in Korea than here

Here is a lot more fluid and less hierarchy

So, I can speak to the managers easily

And I guess I less overtime

So, I don’t have to work till late hours right now

Which is good

That’s what I experience while working

I’ve heard the Korean working hours are

Getting crazy nowadays

They work till like 9 or 10 p.m. I heard

No, can’t do that

It could be worse than Japan

No, you can’t do that

You are Aussie Aussie now

Yeah 5p.m. Just go home

Such an Aussie thing

Okay, so the last question is going to be like this

It’s a random question

But if you are forced in a situation where you kind of have to migrate today

When you have options

What country are you going to choose?

I want to go to America

The heart of finance

Conquer the Wall Street, earn big money

You’re the man making money

Make your money

Winning in the business Okay, interesting

What about Japan?

If someone forced you to move there

What do you think?

I was actually thinking about going Japan at the end of the year

As a holiday, with my friend

How about living? Could it be hard or?

I think it’s going to be hard

I don’t know much Japanese

So, I don’t know if I can fit in there

But I love it there, though

Like, I love the food, though

Yeah Okay interesting

Thank you very much

When you’re having a break now from work

Got to go back now
