In Australia very expensive but

overseas not so expensive

So you got most of them overseas or?

A lot of them in Asia

No, I didn’t

Were they okay about it?

They were apprehensive at first but

Then they were okay

Because in Australia so many people have tattoo

And I thought it’s a completely okay thing like

Most of the parents say okay whatever

But some people don’t really like tattoo or?

Yeah well I guess there’s still stigma attached to it and

When you have those people having a bit of old mindset

Coming to workplace with it

It can be difficult

But it’s very yea, pretty open about tattoos though

Have you ever heard in Japan if you have a tattoo,

It makes your situation haed get jobs and stuff

Which is sad

Because it’s a beautiful culture experience as well

What do you think about this, I would say, culture or rule?

Well I understand where it stands from

I think that’s it’s very outdated

Because I think in my perception tattoos are

Means of expression, self expression and pieces of art on your body

And it doesn’t mean that you are a bad peson or anything like that and

It has nothing to do actually with what you are as a person

I used to works as a real estate in Tokyo

I always had to hide my tattoos,

Which is fine because this is my decision to get a tattoo But that was a bit annoying

Because I always had to do it it’s pain in my arse

Have you ever felt any difficulty because of tattoo when you work?

Or in any situation?

I wouldn’t say that they are obvious difficulties

But there’s a still judgment a little bit like

Coz I work in health

And you can tell sometimes especially more just older people

Who are like in their 60s, 70s and 80s

They trust you a little bit less I think because

It’s still I think they are coming around to accepting it

But it’s changing hay?

The mindset is definitely changing It is progressing

What was the conception behind?

Oh man I mean I just wanted something tribal that represented where I was from man

That was the first one

What does it mean? It’s like a tribal

So it’s like this pattern

In Zimbabwe there’s a place called Great Zimbabwe

On top of like a stone

I guess it’s house of stone right

So it’s like big and closure

And on top of the stone, this pattern is made on top of the bridge

Were your parents happy about it?

I’d actually have my tattoos hay Especially if there’s a story behind it

I haven’t found a right piece for myself

If I found one that I was passion about it and I would but

I don’tt mind tattoos

I like em and I think they are cool man

There is levels to it obviously

You just can’t cover yourself with tattoos I thinl anyway

Australia is pretty openminded like

People have a tatto on their neck and still working

It’s a bit more conservative?

For sure

I think possibly it might definitely affect you there

Coz Africa’s a bit more conservative

But I think people are warm enough to the idea man

I feel like now it’s a bit more it’s getting more openminded but

That’s my opinion anyway

Tattoos are pretty common, you know, what I’m saying so

I guess I feel like there’s certain type of tattoos I feel like face tattoos or neck tattos

I feel like people are gonna judge you a bit more

We had a really good weekend and

My first tattoo is when I graduated from uni

And then my parents didn’t want me to do it but

At the end I said okay now I have a degree and

I think around 20 years old

When you reach after 18 I mean

But 18 they are still in the house with their parents

In Japan like I said

If you have a tattoo,it’s a little bit tricky when you start working in a company

Especially when I used to live in Tokyo,

Obviously I don’t know I have 6 or 7 tattoos

I was working in a real estate company and

I always tried to hide my tattoo

That was a bit tricky and stressful

But it’s okay because it was my decision to get a tattoo

You guys have a tattoo on your arm,

when you are working

But if you are not working, it should be okay
