class=\"jp\">\u4eca\u65e5\u30ad\u30e3\u30f3\u30d6\u30ea\u30fc\u306e\u5148\u751f\u305f\u3061\u306b\u805e\u304d\u305f\u3044\u306e\u304c<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">This is a very random question but<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u5510\u7a81\u306a\u8cea\u554f\u3060\u3051\u3069<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">What do you think about my English level?<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u50d5\u306e\u82f1\u8a9e\u306e\u30ec\u30d9\u30eb\u3063\u3066\u3069\u3046\u3060\u3068\u601d\u3046\uff1f<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">Like I said I&#8217;m Japanese and<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u3055\u3063\u304d\u3082\u8a00\u3063\u305f\u3051\u3069\u50d5\u306f\u65e5\u672c\u4eba\u3067<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">Personally I started studying English since I was six years old<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u50d5\u500b\u4eba\u3068\u3057\u3066\u306f\uff16\u6b73\u306e\u3068\u304d\u304b\u3089\u82f1\u8a9e\u52c9\u5f37\u3057\u306f\u3058\u3081\u3066<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">So the first grade of elementary school<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u5c0f\u5b66\u68211\u5e74\u751f\u306e\u3068\u304d\u3060\u3088\u306d<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">That was only like an hour a week so that was not much<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u9031\u306b\uff11\u6642\u9593\u3060\u3051\u3060\u3063\u305f\u304b\u3089\u5927\u3057\u305f\u4e8b\u306a\u3044\u3093\u3060\u3051\u3069<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">But then eventually I went to junior high school, high school and<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u307e\u3042\u3067\u3082\u4e2d\u5b66\u884c\u3063\u3066\u9ad8\u6821\u884c\u3063\u3066<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">To get a bachelor degree in a college<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u6700\u7d42\u7684\u306b\u306f\u5927\u5b66\u306b\u3082\u884c\u3063\u3066\u3055<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">I study English all the time<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u305a\u3063\u3068\u82f1\u8a9e\u52c9\u5f37\u3057\u3066\u304d\u305f\u3093\u3060\u3088<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">And my girlfriend is Australian<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u305d\u308c\u306b\u5f7c\u5973\u306f\u30aa\u30fc\u30b9\u30c8\u30e9\u30ea\u30a2\u4eba\u3060\u304b\u3089<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">So I speak English a lot<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u4eca\u3082\u82f1\u8a9e\u305f\u304f\u3055\u3093\u8a71\u3059\u3093\u3060\u3088\u306d<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">So now when you close your eyes<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u304a\u59c9\u3055\u3093\u304c\u76ee\u3092\u9589\u3058\u3066<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">Or maybe imagine maybe you&#8217;re in a library on somewhere<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u56f3\u66f8\u9928\u306b\u3044\u308b\u81ea\u5206\u3092\u60f3\u50cf\u3057\u3066\u304f\u308c\u3082\u3044\u3044\u3051\u3069<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">You hear me talking to someone else next to you<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u50d5\u304c\u8ab0\u304b\u3068\u8a71\u3057\u3066\u3044\u308b\u306e\u304c\u805e\u3053\u3048\u3066\u304f\u308b\u3068<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">But you don&#8217;t see my face<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u3067\u3082\u50d5\u306e\u9854\u304c\u898b\u3048\u306a\u3044\u3068\u3057\u305f\u3089<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">Do you think I&#8217;m like a native speaker or<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u30cd\u30a4\u30c6\u30a3\u30d6\u304b\u306a\u3063\u3066\u611f\u3058\u308b\u3068\u601d\u3046\uff1f<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">Do you think I&#8217;m just a fluent English speaker from somewhere else?<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u305d\u308c\u3068\u3082\u4ed6\u304b\u3089\u6765\u305f\u82f1\u8a9e\u304c\u6d41\u66a2\u306a\u4eba\u3060\u3068\u8a8d\u8b58\u3059\u308b\uff1f<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">I think probably a fluent English speaker from somewhere else<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u304a\u305d\u3089\u304f\u30cd\u30a4\u30c6\u30a3\u30d6\u3060\u3068\u306f\u601d\u308f\u306a\u3044\u306d<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">I definitely picked up a native twang<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u30cd\u30a4\u30c6\u30a3\u30d6\u306e\u306a\u307e\u308a\u306f\u9593\u9055\u3044\u306a\u304f\u3042\u308b\u3057<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">And I don&#8217;t know if it was British or Australian<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u30a4\u30ae\u30ea\u30b9\u304b\u30aa\u30fc\u30b9\u30c8\u30e9\u30ea\u30a2\u304b\u306a\u3063\u3066\u601d\u3063\u305f\u3089<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">Obviously now you&#8217;ve clarified that it&#8217;s Australian<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u4eca\u30aa\u30fc\u30b9\u30c8\u30e9\u30ea\u30a2\u3060\u3088\u3063\u3066\u8a00\u3063\u305f\u304b\u3089\u3084\u3063\u3071\u308a\u3068<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">So I was thinking that maybe<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u3060\u304b\u3089\u79c1\u304c\u611f\u3058\u305f\u306e\u306f<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">From young age you are either studying with a native teacher or<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u82e5\u3044\u3053\u308d\u304b\u3089\u30cd\u30a4\u30c6\u30a3\u30d6\u306b\u7fd2\u3063\u3066\u3044\u305f\u306e\u304b<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">Maybe moved to a native country for a couple of years<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u30cd\u30a4\u30c6\u30a3\u30d6\u306e\u56fd\u306b\u6570\u5e74\u524d\u306b\u5f15\u3063\u8d8a\u3057\u305f\u306e\u304b\u306a\u3063\u3066<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">Because there&#8217;s a hint of accent of a native speaker but<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u3061\u3087\u3063\u3068\u30cd\u30a4\u30c6\u30a3\u30d6\u3063\u307d\u3055\u3082\u3042\u308b\u3051\u3069<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">It&#8217;s still also not fully a native accent<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u540c\u6642\u306b\u5b8c\u5168\u306b\u30cd\u30a4\u30c6\u30a3\u30d6\u3068\u306f\u8a00\u3048\u306a\u3044\u306e\u3088\u306d<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">So I know that it was like some social geology there<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u3060\u304b\u3089\u3069\u3053\u304b\u9055\u3046\u5730\u57df\u306e\u4eba\u304b\u306a\u3063\u3066\u601d\u3063\u305f\u306e<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">What do you find pronunciation? Like<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u3068\u308a\u308f\u3051\u3053\u308c\u3063\u3066\u8a00\u3048\u308b\u3068\u3053\u308d\u306f\u3042\u308b\uff1f<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">&#8220;I can hear your accent especially like TH&#8221; &#8220;It sounds a bit wrong&#8221; or something like that. Do you have it?<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u300e\u3042\u306a\u305f\u306eTH\u306e\u767a\u97f3\u304c\u7279\u306b\u9055\u3046\u304b\u306a\u300f\u307f\u305f\u3044\u306a<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">I think it&#8217;s because of your Australian you vowed a little bit longer and<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u30aa\u30fc\u30b9\u30c8\u30e9\u30ea\u30a2\u306e\u5f71\u97ff\u3067\u6bcd\u97f3\u304c\u9577\u3081\u306d<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">The way that you enunciate the ends of the words as well<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u5358\u8a9e\u306e\u6700\u5f8c\u306e\u767a\u97f3\u306e\u4ed5\u65b9\u3082\u305d\u3046\u3060\u3057<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">The way that you formulate sentences<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u6587\u306e\u4f5c\u308a\u65b9\u3082<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">I think Australians normally go up at the end of the sentence<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u30aa\u30fc\u30b9\u30c8\u30e9\u30ea\u30a2\u82f1\u8a9e\u306f\u6700\u5f8c\u3067\u4e0a\u304c\u308b\u304b\u3089\u306d<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">Where Irish people normally go down<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u30a2\u30a4\u30eb\u30e9\u30f3\u30c9\u306a\u3089\u6700\u5f8c\u4e0b\u304c\u308b\u3051\u3069<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">So it depends on how you formulate the sentence and<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u3060\u304b\u3089\u6587\u3092\u3069\u3046\u4f5c\u308b\u3068\u304b<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">The tone of voice that you use as well<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u58f0\u306e\u4e0a\u3052\u4e0b\u3052\u3068\u304b\u3082\u5927\u4e8b\u306d<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">Alright<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u306a\u308b\u307b\u3069\u306d<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">Do I have like&#8230; Do you talk to Japanese people here?<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u65e5\u672c\u4eba\u3068\u3082\u3053\u3053\u3067\u8a71\u3059\u3053\u3068\u3042\u308b\uff1f<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">A bit. I&#8217;d say maybe<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u305f\u307e\u306b\u306d<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">It wouldn&#8217;t be my top five countries that I speak to<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u3088\u304f\u8a71\u3059\u56fd\u306e\u4e0a\u4f4d\u3067\u306f\u306a\u3044\u3051\u3069\u306d<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">Okay so let&#8217;s say<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u306a\u308b\u307b\u3069\u305d\u3057\u305f\u3089<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">Do I have like sort of Asian taste like twist to my pronunciation or tones?<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u50d5\u306e\u767a\u97f3\u306b\u306f\u30a2\u30b8\u30a2\u4eba\u3063\u307d\u3044\u7656\u306f\u3042\u308b\uff1f<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">I would probably say that first of all you&#8217;d have a native speaker tone and then<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u307e\u305a\u7b2c\u4e00\u306b\u30cd\u30a4\u30c6\u30a3\u30d6\u3063\u307d\u3044\u611f\u3058<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">Next is Asian<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u3067\u305d\u306e\u6b21\u306b\u30a2\u30b8\u30a2\u4eba\u306e\u7656\u304c\u3042\u308b\u308f\u306d<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">I wouldn&#8217;t have specifically certified with to close my eyes and really think or really listened to you<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u76ee\u3092\u9589\u3058\u3066\u306f\u805e\u3044\u3066\u306f\u3044\u306a\u304b\u3063\u305f\u3051\u3069<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">I don&#8217;t know if I would have gotten to Japan<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u65e5\u672c\u4eba\u304b\u3068\u601d\u3063\u305f\u304b\u3068\u3044\u3048\u3070\u5fae\u5999\u306d<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">Probably from like a process of elimination<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u304a\u305d\u3089\u304f\u305d\u306e\u9078\u629e\u80a2\u306f\u6d88\u53bb\u3055\u308c\u305f\u308f\u306d<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">Because Japanese people are normally the people have the most flat is probably the wrong word but<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u3066\u3044\u3046\u306e\u3082\u65e5\u672c\u4eba\u306f\u3059\u3054\u304f\u30d5\u30e9\u30c3\u30c8\u3068\u8a00\u3046\u304b<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">Most neutral accent in terms of Asian accent<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u30a2\u30b8\u30a2\u306e\u4e2d\u3067\u306f\u4e2d\u7acb\u7684\u306a\u30a2\u30af\u30bb\u30f3\u30c8\u3067\u8a71\u3059\u304b\u3089\u306d<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">Very flat<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u30d5\u30e9\u30c3\u30c8\u3060\u3088\u306d<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">It&#8217;s kinda at the easiest to embellish with all the accents<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u3060\u304b\u3089\u624b\u3092\u3064\u3051\u3084\u3059\u3044\u306e\u3088\u306d<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">So probably I&#8217;d have got arrange to it eventually<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u305d\u308c\u3082\u3042\u3063\u3066\u65e5\u672c\u3067\u306f\u306a\u3044\u3068\u601d\u3063\u305f\u306e<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">But it doesn&#8217;t really scream Japanese to me, your accent<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u65e5\u672c\u4eba\u3063\u3066\u611f\u3058\u306b\u306f\u805e\u3053\u3048\u306a\u3044\u308f\u306d<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">Okay I&#8217;ll give you one more question<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u3058\u3083\u3042\u3082\u3046\u4e00\u3064\u805e\u304f\u3051\u3069<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">I&#8217;m not trying to sound like anyone else<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u8ab0\u307f\u305f\u3044\u306b\u767a\u97f3\u3057\u305f\u3044\u3068\u304b\u3058\u3083\u306a\u3044\u3093\u3060\u3088\u306d<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">I&#8217;m not trying to sound like I wouldn&#8217;t say I wanna sound like American<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u30a2\u30e1\u30ea\u30ab\u4eba\u307f\u305f\u3044\u306b\u8a71\u3057\u305f\u3044\u3068\u3082\u601d\u308f\u306a\u3044\u3057<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">Let&#8217;s say if I say I wanna sound more native-like<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u3067\u3082\u4eca\u3088\u308a\u30cd\u30a4\u30c6\u30a3\u30d6\u3063\u307d\u304f\u805e\u3053\u3048\u305f\u3044\u3068\u8a00\u3063\u305f\u3089<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">What advice do you think you&#8217;re gonna give to me?<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u3069\u3093\u306a\u30a2\u30c9\u30d0\u30a4\u30b9\u3092\u3059\u308b\u3068\u601d\u3046\uff1f<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">Like what do I have to be careful of?<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u4f55\u306b\u6c17\u3092\u3064\u3051\u306a\u304d\u3083\u3044\u3051\u306a\u3044\uff1f<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">That&#8217;s an interesting question<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u9762\u767d\u3044\u8cea\u554f\u306d<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">I would say<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u79c1\u306a\u3089<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">In general I think non-native speakers<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u57fa\u672c\u7684\u306b\u30cd\u30a4\u30c6\u30a3\u30d6\u3058\u3083\u306a\u3044\u4eba\u306f<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">Tend to speak a little bit more slow than native speakers<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u30cd\u30a4\u30c6\u30a3\u30d6\u3088\u308a\u3086\u3063\u304f\u308a\u8a71\u3057\u304c\u3061\u3060\u3088\u306d<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">So that they have sort of definition on the language so<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u305d\u3046\u3059\u308b\u3068\u307e\u3042\u3088\u308a\u660e\u77ad\u306b\u306a\u308b\u308f\u3051\u3060<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">They are picking up the parts of the language that or the parts of the accents that<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u305d\u308c\u306b\u3088\u308a\u5f7c\u3089\u306f\u305d\u306e\u8a00\u8a9e\u3068\u767a\u97f3\u3092\u7406\u89e3\u3057\u3066\u308b\u3051\u3069<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">To a native speaker, I wouldn&#8217;t recognize<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u30cd\u30a4\u30c6\u30a3\u30d6\u306e\u79c1\u306b\u306f\u7406\u89e3\u3067\u304d\u306a\u3044\u306e<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">To a non-native speaker they recognize. That is the completely the accent so<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u3067\u3082\u30ce\u30f3\u30cd\u30a4\u30c6\u30a3\u30d6\u306f\u305d\u308c\u3067\u308f\u304b\u308b\u308f\u3051\u3060\u3088\u306d<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">I think that is you can tell because it&#8217;s the length of time that non-native speaker&#8217;ll take<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u30ce\u30f3\u30cd\u30a4\u30c6\u30a3\u30d6\u304c\u8cbb\u3084\u3059\u305d\u306e\u6642\u9593\u7684\u9577\u3055\u3060\u3088\u306d<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">And the way that they&#8217;ll formulate<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u3042\u3068\u305d\u306e\u6587\u306e\u4f5c\u308a\u65b9<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">Because I think it&#8217;d be a little bit alien to the non-native speaker to formulate sentense in this sort of way<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u5f7c\u3089\u304b\u3089\u3057\u305f\u3089\u30cd\u30a4\u30c6\u30a3\u30d6\u306e\u4f5c\u308a\u306f\u5168\u304f\u9055\u3046\u304b\u3089<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">And then they draw out the parts of the accent that is particular to that place because<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u305d\u308c\u306b\u767a\u97f3\u3082\u3068\u3053\u308d\u3069\u3053\u308d\u6d88\u3048\u308b\u304b\u3089\u306d<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">It&#8217;s something that&#8217;s not natural in their speech<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u5f7c\u3089\u306e\u8a00\u8a9e\u3067\u306f\u666e\u901a\u3058\u3083\u306a\u3044\u767a\u97f3\u3060\u304b\u3089<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">So that&#8217;s the kind of telltale sign for me anyway<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u3060\u304b\u3089\u3053\u308c\u3067\u79c1\u306f\u30ce\u30f3\u30cd\u30a4\u30c6\u30a3\u30d6\u3063\u3066\u308f\u304b\u308b\u3088\u306d<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">Interesting so<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u306a\u308b\u307b\u3069\u306d<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">If I speak a bit faster than this and<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u3058\u3083\u3042\u50d5\u304c\u3082\u3046\u5c11\u3057\u65e9\u3081\u306b\u8a71\u3057\u3066<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">With the good pronunciations and stuff<\/p>\n<p class=\"jp\">\u767a\u97f3\u3082\u3057\u3063\u304b\u308a\u4fdd\u3061\u306a\u304c\u3089<\/p>\n<p class=\"en\">It sounds more clear to you, to native speakers<\/p>\n<p
