1組目 イングランド出身の男性に聞いてみた!

Thank you very much for your help

Where are you from?

I’m from Brighton in England in the South

Would you mind my asking your age?

I’m thirty years old

I’m thirty one so we are not really different yeah

What did you used to do in your country?

I’ve been a musician all my life

So grew up performing, playing, teaching

Played a lot around Europe and that sort of thing

What instrument do you play?

Guiter and sing

That’s like a dream life, isn’t it?

It’s good but

After living in England till I was twenty five

I was kind of bored of the weather

Not a lot of opportunities and came out of here

Two thousand and eighteen

So you’ve been here for like four years now

Since I was like in early twenties I love traveling I love going overseas and stuff like that

That’s why I used to work in a real estate company in Japan but then I quit

Decided to come to Australia

And it’s been great It’s influencing my life well

I’m more like a flexible person and I

I can think in a different way from the time I used to live in Japan

Do you think it’s been influencing your life in a good way?

You got out of your own country and started living overseas

Yeah I think when you move from your own country Your horizon’s expand

You’re just more Curious into kind of get a better life and Inspired sorry

And it makes you do hard work

You go out your comfort zone you meet more people

A lot of different cultures in Australia Learn new things

But what I love about Australia is

The minimum wage is like twenty five dollars an hour

But that means the cleaner The bartender, the manager

They’re all kind of on same money and

EVeryone can live a good life

It’s really fair in this country I reckon yeah

People have their doubt about the system but

You grow up in England it’s like

Thirteen dollars an hour It’s rainy like

There’s a gap between wealth

The working class and the CEO is ridiculous

Whereas here is a lot closer

That’s what I like about Australia as well

So last question is gonna be like this

You decided to get out of your own country and To try your life in another country, another society

I reckon in my country Japan There are a lot of people especially young people

Not only young people but people in all generations

Kind of worried about their future

Or simply expand their possibility in their life so

Coming overseas, living overseas is one of their options

But somehow they are kind of afraid hesitate to do so because

What if I quit my job and come back to Japan

There is no job or something like that

So let’s say if your brothers and sisters Or your cousins were in the same situation

What kind of advice would you give them?

I’d say

If you are in the same life you’ve been living for ten years

And you are thinking about it so much

That’s the biggest sign already

You are not happy

And then the worst thing you can do is You can come and try for a year and You can always go home

But as soon as you turn forty, fifty Then you can’t come and try for a year and go home

And when you regret it’s too late

And you learn from failures like

I came out one for a year and went back and regret it So I came back and

It’s a double edge sword coz the life never be the same

You go home and nothing will ever feel the same

And you are always be kind of Your mind would be out here and wanting more and More experiences and

Once you start traveling and that’s kind of it

Get outside of your bubble

And it’s even worse when you go home to like Japan or England

Everyone’s doing the same thing they did when you left

So it kind of messes your head coz you’re kind of like

Wow, six years gone by and you are still doing that

But I had this amazing kind of experience over six years so

I’d say try it

There’s only two types of people anyway

Ones that dream about it and kind of go for it

There’s ones that don’t even think about it And it dosen’t even cross their mind

Coz they are so happy in their nine to five life

English people are really good at speaking like

I’ve interviewed many English people They are like They have really their opinion

There’s a lot of opinions in England

Thank you very much anyway

Have a great day

2組目 中国出身の女性2人組に聞いてみた!

Where are you from?

We are from China

What did you used to do back home?

I used to do international trade

International trade?

That sounds like a really good job

Yeah

I actually traded with Japanese people

Marubeni, Okamoto yeah

Those are big companies

How about you?

I’ve never really worked in China so

I was born and raised in China and studied in China

I went to some countries and

I eventually ended up in Australia

So how long have you guys been in Australia now?

Almost six years

Similar to me I’ve been here for seven years now

Ten years

I’m just simply curious that you had a great job in China

And then you quit and came to Australia

Weren’t you not afraid to throw the career away?

I was actually

Before I came here I was thinking

Worst case I’d just come back in China and

Maybe a like

XXXXX

So you were worried but…

This is a big thing because

I’m gonna ask you some questions about it as well in this video

Like I’m from Japan people are worried about it

Quitting a job and do whatever you wanna do

Do you think living overseas and living in another society

Gives you positive influence in your life?

I think definitely

And also I feel like if you live in a foreign country End up like enjoying your life

You feel like you achieved something as well because

It’s not given that you could enjoy your life in foreign country so

I think you get more happiness

You get more happiness by living in another society Another country

I definitely think it’s a very good experience

Coz first of all I get to know people from so many different places

Know all the different cultures and try different food

It’s definitely good

And I also agree with her that by living in a different country like

Definitely we have our challenges and struggles but

It was a good experience

Now when I look back I feel like I overcame it

You overcame all the difficulties

Yeah I think it’s a good learning thing

So last question in gonna be like this

Going back to what you said

You were afraid to quit your good career back in your country

In Japan I reckon many people It doesn’t matter young people and old people

They are worried about the their future

Or simply they wanna expand their possibility in their future

Coming overseas Living overseas is one of the great options

But somehow most of people are afraid

What if I quit my job and go overseas I’m not happy

And come home, there is no job

Many reasons can stop them

If your brothers and sisters or cousins Were in the same situation

What sort of advice would you give to them?

I actually did have people asked me

Some young girls in China like they’d say

I wanna do that as well

But to be honest I would say

Ask yourself if you are capable of taking the risk coz

I think it is a risk

I’m not going to hide it

There is no guarantee so

As I said I thought about the worst scenario

I thought about it and asked myself

If that happens, can I accept it?

And I think I was waiting to take that

But to be honest I wouldn’t say this is for everyone

Like some people just can’t right?

Some people say I don’t wanna do it

Because I don’t wanna come back without nothing

If that’s you then I think maybe don’t do it

Coz no one can guarantee you with the consequence

Hundred percent

I felt the same Quitting the job and came here

When time goes by I felt like Was it a right decision?

To quit my job and came here

Because I see my friends around me through social media

They have a nice life

On social media it looks like that

What do you think? What sort of advice would you give them?

I think it depends on how you feel about your life currently

So are you happy? Are you satisfied? Are you feeling fulfilled?

If the answers is yes, then

Just live your life

But if the answer is no I’d recommend to try something else

There are always ups and downs in our life

I think the biggest problem in life you could face later down your life

Is you regret

You haven’t done the things you wanted to do

So on matter the outcome would be

I think you have to try if you feel the itchiness to something different

If you don’t feel happy about your life

That is very true because

When you get forties fifties sometimes

Some things can get too late

Are you guys happy about your decision you made?

Yeah, I am

Yeah

Great smile from these beautiful ladies

Thank you very much

3組目 フランス出身の女性に聞いてみた!

Where are you from?

I’m from France

Would you mind my asking your age?

Because if people understand it They can apply your story to their life

I’m twenty one years old

You are pretty young yeah

What did you used to do back in France?

I used to be a student and a graphic designer actually

Working as a graphic designer

Studying so preparing

That sounds like a cool job I’d say

How long have you been in Australia now?

I’ve been here for about the three months

Oh so not too long You’ve been here for three months

Were you not afraid or worried about anything When you left your country?

Yeah of course I was terrified of

Very afraid of like not making new friend or like

Not feeling the vibe of the country

Not finding a job or stuff like that but

It’s all turning out pretty well

That’s good

Since I was like in early twenties I love traveling

I love having an interaction with foreign people and

Get all the other cultures and aspects and perspectives

They affect my life in a good way

I’m more like a flexible person than before

Has it been influencing you well

For you to decide to come to Australia And living in another society?

Yeah definitely

I discovered so many new people most of all

Made me change who I am of course as a person

Far more social than I used to be in France

Because you have to

You can’t just stay in your little corner

Otherwise you are never gonna meet anyone so

Whereas in France you are already in your own country

You already have everyone you know

So you don’t need to make as much effort

I feel like some people Or I used to feel like this too

And also many people feel like this

You are European person coming to Australia so we say

It’s easier for them because their cultures are similar Western culture and

It’s easy for you to make friends

Whereas Japanese people we are from Asia

It’s a really different culture

But do you think even you are Western

Australian and France are really different?

Yeah definitely they are different and I mean

European cultures are different from one and others

Where I come from people are a bit colder More on a cold side

Not as much as like Asia

But it’s definitely not as welcoming as like

Southern parts of Europe

But it’s working out well

I’m trying to be more in the Australian way of thinking of interacting with people definitely so

There’s a bit of challenge

You got out of your own shell and be more like a social person here and

Try to get many friends

Last question is gonna be like this

I reckon in my country Japan There are many people Not only young people but people in all generations

They are worried about their future and

Or like simply they wanna expand their possibility for their life

And coming overseas, living overseas

Is one of the great options

However many people hesitate to do so

What if you don’t like it

What if you quit a job and go overseas

You come home and you don’t get a job or something like that

So many people hesitate and actually don’t do anything

If your cousins, brothers and sisters were in the same situation as those people

What sort of advice would you give to them? Because

You decided to get out of your own country and came here

Well I’d say definitely go if you can financially obviously

Because you don’t know what you are missing on to be honest because

You are so used to your routine but

You never see what you are missing on

And it’s honestly so big

I feel like if I haven’t gone I mean it’s only been a few months but I feel like if I haven’t gone

I’d be regretting it so much I’d be like

Oh no why didn’t I go?

It helps when you are young definitely

You don’t have a job I don’t have family, boyfriend whatever

So I can just go whatever I want to

You can do whatever you like to do

Which is great

But yeah it’s definitely something to experience It’s definitely something great to do yeah

So you are feeling like Yes, I did a right thing! Now?

Definitely

Especially coming young I think it’s like I can do whatever I want

Thank you very much for your help Merci beaucoup
